Overview

There is a position available for immediate filling. This full‐time appointment (76 hours per fortnight) is offered on a fixed‐term basis, with the possibility of extension and permanency.

Position: Clinical Nurse Manager – Carnarvon – Midwest.

Qualifications

* Demonstrated leadership experience and advanced clinical practice in diverse environments relevant to the role.
* Demonstrated advanced interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills and negotiation skills.
* Demonstrated capacity to work effectively in a team environment and the ability to lead, develop and manage a team.
* Demonstrated knowledge and application of human resource management principles and practice.
* Demonstrated knowledge and incorporation of quality and risk management within practice.
* Demonstrated commitment to continuing education.
* Current knowledge of legislative and regulatory requirements in the areas of Equal Opportunity, Disability Services and Work Health and Safety, and how these impact on employment, people management and service delivery.

Position Profile

Provides management and clinical leadership within the general ward and renal unit to ensure safe, effective and efficient service provision. Provides support to the Coordinator of Nursing & Midwifery in developing and implementing goals for service provision, including human and material resource management, safety and quality agenda and governance processes. Mentors, manages and performance develops staff under direct supervision.

Eligibility

To be eligible for appointment, applicants must have a valid working visa (for fixed‐term appointments) or be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or have a visa to live and work indefinitely in Australia (for permanent appointments).

WA Health engages staff in positions of trust and responsibility. Applicants are required to undertake criminal record screening and integrity checks. Referees may also be asked to comment on an applicant's integrity and past demonstration of ethical behaviour.

Applicants must complete a satisfactory Pre‐Employment Health Assessment (PEHA). Any offer of employment is conditional on a satisfactory PEHA to ensure you are able to perform the inherent requirements of the position.

Selection process may be used to fill similar vacancies. A successful applicant who declines may result in the next most suitable applicant being selected. Both options remain valid for a period of twelve (12) months from when the authorised delegate endorses the recruitment decision.
