Treasured Tots Piara Waters is committed to creating a warm, nurturing, and inspiring environment for children, families, and our team. We are currently seeking a passionate and reliable Childcare Cook to join our centre and help provide fresh, nutritious meals that support the health and wellbeing of our children each day.
Responsible for
* Preparing and cooking nutritious, balanced meals and snacks for children aged 0–6 years in line with approved menus and recipes.
* Accommodating allergies, cultural preferences, and special dietary requirements with care and attention.
* Maintaining high standards of food safety, cleanliness, and kitchen hygiene at all times.
* Managing weekly stocktakes, ordering, and kitchen supplies efficiently.
* Ensuring all meals and snacks are prepared and served on time in accordance with centre routines.
* Complying with all relevant food safety standards, early childhood regulations, and centre policies and procedures.
Qualifications
* Experience preparing and cooking meals for large groups of young children is highly desirable.
* Relevant cookery, hospitality, or food handling qualifications, including Food Safety Supervision (SITSS00069 – Skill Set), are preferred.
* A current Working with Children Check.
* Knowledge of food safety, nutrition, and balanced meal planning for children.
* The ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and maintain a well‐organised kitchen.
