About the Role
As a Perinatal and Infant Mental Health Clinician, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team providing mental health assessments, treatment, and consultation to women in the perinatal period, infants, their families, and other professionals/services involved in their care.
Duties include:
1. Providing comprehensive psychosocial and psychiatric assessments of women in the perinatal period, infants, broader family members, and engaged agencies.
2. Working closely with agencies involved in the woman and infant's care, providing consultation where required.
3. Acting as a resource for and providing education to health workers within Barwon Health and in the community on mental health problems, management, and availability of mental health services specifically regarding perinatal and infant mental health.
About You
To be successful in this role, you must hold a formal qualification in Psychiatric Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Social Work, or Clinical/Forensic/Neuro Psychology. Additionally, you should possess experienced clinical skills in the psychiatric assessment and treatment of infants and children up to 11 years of age. Advanced clinical decision-making skills regarding the management of risk in relation to children are also essential.
Salary and Benefits
This role offers attractive salary packaging benefits. Living expenses are capped at $9,010, and meals and entertainment are capped at $2,650.
