Our client is a leading design and construct company specializing in commercial fitouts based in the heart of Sydney. The team are currently seeking a talented and experienced Senior Interior Designer to join them.
As a Senior Interior Designer, you will play a crucial role in designing and delivering exceptional commercial fitouts that exceed client expectations. Your expertise in conceptualization, space planning, material selection, and project management will contribute to the overall success of our projects.
Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with clients, project managers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and objectives.
* Develop innovative and functional workplace design concepts that align with client needs and brand identities.
* Prepare detailed design proposals, including space plans, color schemes, furniture layouts, and material selections.
* Create 3D visualizations, mood boards, and presentations to effectively communicate design concepts to clients.
* Oversee the production of construction documents, including drawings, specifications, and finishes schedules.
* Collaborate with suppliers and contractors to source materials, finishes, and furniture that meet design specifications and project budgets.
* Provide guidance and mentorship to junior designers, offering support and fostering their professional growth.
* Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines and budgetary constraints are met.
* Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction progress, address design-related issues, and ensure adherence to design intent.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Interior Design
* 5+ years' as an Interior Designer, with a focus on commercial projects.
* Proficiency in Revit
* Experience working in a design and construct environment.
* Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey design concepts to clients and team members.
* Strong project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage resources effectively.
* A keen eye for detail, aesthetics, and trends in interior design.
* Experience working collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
* Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
