We are currently looking for aClinical Nurse Specialist – Mental HealthLiaison to join our team in Bunbury. This is a Fixed Term Full Time appointment until 01/12/2026, withthe possibility of extension(s) and/orpermanency.

Are you a passionate andexperienced Clinical Nurse Specialist in Mental Health looking tomake a significant impact in an acute care setting? We invite youto join Western Australia Country Health Service as a ClinicalNurse Specialist – Mental Health Liaison at Bunbury RegionalHospital. In this pivotal role, you will provide a timely andspecialised clinical mental health nursing consultancy service toour Emergency Department and beyond.

Ideal Candidate

* Eligible for registration as a Registered Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board ofAustralia.
* Significant experience inacute adult mental health services with demonstrated advancedskills in crisis intervention and psychiatricassessment.
* Strong leadershipabilities within a multidisciplinary team environment, coupledwith excellent communication skills.
* Proficient in the use ofrelevant computer systems and maintaining patientdatabases.
* Knowledgeable inlegislative and regulatory requirements impacting mental healthservice delivery.

Key Responsibilities

* Conduct mental healthtriage and risk assessments for patients presenting to theEmergency Department and liaise effectively with the MentalHealth team for psychiatric assessments.
* Provide consultationservices to medical and nursing clinicians, aiding in patientmanagement strategies and education.
* Coordinate after-hourspsychiatric emergency responses, delivering critical support tocolleagues and ensuring a seamless service.
* Develop and maintainclinical pathways, policies, and guidelines in collaborationwith mental health clinicians and managers.
* Promote mental healtheducation within Bunbury Regional Hospital by participating instaff development sessions and community outreachinitiatives.
