Well-established boutique professional services commercial consultancy seeking a Senior / Quantity Surveyor or Senior Contracts Administrator to join a Sydney team. This role requires ensuring all commercial objectives of the project are delivered successfully and providing strategic, commercial, quantity surveying and contractual guidance and technical expertise to clients.
Our client is a boutique cost consultancy looking to expand their office. The ideal candidate may come from a head contractor or cost consultancy background. Projects will be a mix of buildings and infrastructure work for tier 1 and tier 2 clients. The position offers an ASAP start and could be contract or permanent, in a permanent full‐time role.
Responsibilities
* Assist in preparation and submission of head contact payment claims
* Prepare and submit variations
* Support the scope development of subcontract, consultancy and supplier packagers
* Support the procurement process
* Maintain, review and manage a register of subcontract variations
* Manage subcontractor and supplier payments
* Prepare the payment schedules
* Financial reporting
* Cost management, cash flow and forecasting
* Provide support in matters relating to quantum and general construction related disputes
* Contracts administration
Qualifications and Requirements
* Tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or similar
* 5+ years of experience in a similar role
* Strong attention to detail
* Good negotiation skills
* Well‐developed interpersonal skills
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Applicants must have a minimum of five years' experience, be detail-oriented, possess strong negotiation and communication skills, and have a tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or similar.
