More About the Role
As a Control Systems Engineer, you'll be involved in the full project lifecycle - from design and programming through to testing, commissioning, and client handover.
Key responsibilities include:
* Design, develop, and commission PLC, HMI, and SCADA control systems
* Produce and review engineering documentation including functional design specifications
* Participate in Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT)
* Work in a team to provide ongoing technical support throughout project delivery
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, quality systems, and technical standards
This role is based from our Warabrook office, with travel to client sites on occasion.
More About You
You are a motivated and technically capable engineer who enjoys solving complex automation challenges and working closely in project teams.
You will bring:
* A Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechatronics, or related Engineering discipline
* Experience in control systems or automation engineering
* PLC programming capability
* Experience with SCADA systems
* Knowledge of control system engineering practices including IT networks, and instrumentation
* The ability to prepare technical documentation and contribute to project delivery outcomes
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
* Strong time management, attention to detail, and problem-solving capability
Experience within mining surface operations including CHPPs, stockyard machines, or bulk materials handling operations will be highly regarded.
