The Organisational Development (OD) Manager - Bureau of Meteorology Training Centre (BMTC), is part of the Organisational Development (OD) Leadership Team and is responsible for the effective delivery of the Bureau’s national technical training programs. The BMTC serves as the main focus for the training and accreditation of meteorological personnel, supporting the Bureau to meet its mission of providing trusted, reliable and responsive weather, water, climate and ocean services for Australia.
The OD Manager - BMTC leads a team of training professionals responsible for educationally robust and cost-effective learning programs encompassing the Graduate Diploma in Meteorology (an accredited course for meteorological forecasters), in-service competency-based training and assessment for forecasters and observing systems personnel, along with the operation of the National Meteorological Library.
The OD Manager - BMTC is also a key advocate of the Bureau's Enterprise Learning Framework, reflecting leading practice in the process of planning, budgeting and managing the ongoing strategic and tactical learning priorities within the Bureau. A focus for the OD Manager - BMTC will be to transition non-technical Bureau learning into the BMTC structure to consolidate all Bureau learning under a common administrative framework.
