We are currently seeking suitably experienced applicants for the role of Quality Managerto provide leadership and management of the site's Quality processes and systems.

About the Role

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Fitter & Fabricator will be responsible for preventative and breakdown maintenance across the site. Including the servicing and repair of bulk storage, production, processing, blow moulding and packaging areas, covering the entire manufacturing process and all main facilities associated with a dairy manufacturing site. The successful candidate will also be required to come with fabrication experience.

Key Responsibilities include:

* Ensure safety and safe working methods are performed as per instructions including JSAs, Risk Assessments, LOTO and permits to work;
* Implementing preventative and routine maintenance schedules to achieve machine and line efficiency;
* Responding to breakdowns in a timely manner to minimise downtime;
* Monitor and contribute to developing new maintenance schedules for equipment, plant and other relevant data to identify faults and take action as necessary;
* Performing scheduled and ad‐hoc safety checks as per instructions;
* Investigating failures and making recommendations to reduce risk and improve systems / processes;
* Enhance the areas of responsibility by adopting excellence in hygiene, operational and safety standards by focussing on good manufacturing practices including housekeeping, reducing waste, personal hygiene and conformance to procedures.
* Ensure that relevant documentation relating to the areas of responsibility are maintained to present standards.
* Partake in Preventative Maintenance program in order to achieve world class machine and line efficiency.
* Read pneumatic schematics and fault find in a safe and efficient manner and make modifications as required.
* Investigate failures and provide recommendation of improvements to reduce the risk of occurrence.
* Understand blueprints, schematics, and specifications to determine requirements.
* Accurately measure, cut, and prepare raw materials (metal, steel, etc.) according to specifications.
* Use tools such as saws, shears, plasma cutters, or laser cutters to shape materials.
* Fit and align parts using hand tools, clamps, and jigs before final joining.
* Perform welding (MIG, TIG, stick) or other joining methods to construct components.
* Use machines such as press brakes, rollers, drills, and CNC equipment safely and effectively.
* Ensure finished products meet required tolerances, standards, and specifications.

About You

* Minimum 5 years' experience as a Maintenance Fitter with 2 years' experience with fabrication
* Experience in fault diagnosis, principles of RCAs
* Excellent knowledge of mechanical engineering and some experience in fabrication
* Good understanding of production management, organisation and planning
* Must be proficient in Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Lean Manufacturing methodologies, Microsoft Office Suite, SAP and other Management Systems
* Analytical skill set is also essential to support data‐driven decision making
* Good interpersonal skills, strong written and verbal communication skills
