Join an established ophthalmology practice in Perth's inner suburbs.
Our client is a well-regarded specialist eye clinic with a stable, long-tenured team and a loyal patient base. The practice has four subspecialty-trained ophthalmologists covering retinal disease, oculoplastics, and general ophthalmology including cataract surgery.
The Opportunity
We are seeking a professional and personable Medical Receptionist to be the welcoming face of the practice. The primary location is Mount Lawley, with occasional coverage at a secondary consulting room in Leeming.
This is a full-time permanent position, ideal for someone who enjoys working with people and takes pride in providing excellent service. Part-time arrangements may be considered for the right candidate.
What You'll Do
* Greet patients warmly and ensure they feel comfortable and informed
* Manage phone calls, appointment scheduling, and patient enquiries
* Handle check-in and check-out, including processing payments
* Maintain a calm, efficient flow in a busy clinic environment
* Support the clinical team with general administrative duties
Who You Are
* You have excellent communication skills and a natural warmth with people
* You are reliable, flexible, and take initiative
* You present professionally and remain calm under pressure
* You understand the importance of patient confidentiality
* You are comfortable using practice management software (the practice uses Genie)
Medical reception experience is preferred, but a background in GP, allied health, or customer-facing roles will also be considered if you present well and are willing to learn.
