Job Description
AECOM's environmental practice focuses on preserving natural habitats and water quality while protecting the environment. We provide advisory services to ensure compliance, manage impacts, and reduce risks across various projects.
As an Ecologist or Botanist at Professional, Senior, or Principal level, you will lead ecological projects, collaborate with junior team members, and work independently on survey work, analysis, and mitigation strategies.
Required Skills & Qualifications
To thrive in this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or a related field, with expertise in Victorian and Commonwealth environmental legislation. Proficiency in vegetation surveys, habitat assessments (VQA accreditation is essential), GIS tools such as ESRI FieldMaps, and strong experience in habitat and protected species surveys are also desired.
You should be able to efficiently record data, possess a valid Victorian driver's license, and be willing to undertake extended field programs across Victoria.
