Role Overview
The Clinical Nurse Specialist will play a vital role in delivering complex mental health assessments, nursing treatments, and coordinated referrals in line with current guidelines and best practice standards. They will bring high-level clinical knowledge and skill to a multidisciplinary team, supporting consumers through their recovery journey.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver high-quality mental health assessments and develop individualised treatment plans that address the specific needs of each consumer.
* Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination and effective referral processes.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with local healthcare providers, services, and stakeholders to enhance service delivery.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will require:
* A post-registration qualification in Mental Health Nursing.
* At least 3 years full-time equivalent experience working in a Mental Health specialty area.
* A strong understanding of the recovery philosophy and trauma-informed care principles.
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work independently and lead a multidisciplinary team.
