Clinical Nurse Consultant (Grade 1) - Eastern Acute Care Services, Community Mental Health Services

Employment Type: Permanent Full Time (38 hours per week)

Position Classification: Clinical Nurse Consultant Grade 1

Remuneration: $130,524 - $133,191 per annum + annual leave loading + Superannuation

About The Role

The Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) provides expert clinical advice to patients, carers and other health care professionals within a defined specialty through the delivery of specialist consultant service which:

- Develops implements and evaluates care management plans for patients with complex health needs
- Provides leadership in the ongoing development of clinical practice
- Initiates and utilizes findings of research in the provision of clinical services
- Contributes to the development and delivery of specialty‑related education programs
- Participates in formal processes for the strategic and operational planning for the clinical service

Ideal Candidate

- Current nursing registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) and 5 years full time equivalent post registration experience
- Holds approved postgraduate qualifications relevant to the specialty or such other qualifications or experience deemed appropriate
- Demonstrated leadership skills and excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work on a 7 day rotating roster
