Job Description:
We are seeking a Full Time Defence Security Specialist to join our team at a secured base in Singleton. This is a critical role that plays a key part in protecting Defence personnel, assets and infrastructure.
About the Role:
As a Full Time Defence Security Specialist, you will be responsible for proactive patrols, access management and maintaining a strong on-site presence. You will operate in a complex and sensitive environment where professionalism, discretion and situational awareness are essential.
Your Key Responsibilities:
* Access Control - Monitor entry and exit points to ensure only authorised personnel are permitted on site.
* Foot Patrols - Conduct regular patrols to maintain situational awareness and deter potential threats.
* Stakeholder Liaison - Build rapport with Defence personnel, contractors and visitors while delivering a strong security presence.
* Incident Response - React promptly and appropriately to alarms, emergencies or suspicious behaviour.
* Compliance Monitoring - Ensure site protocols and Defence security procedures are always followed.
* Reporting & Documentation - Accurately record incidents, shift activities and observations in accordance with site requirements.
What We Are Looking For:
* Australian Citizenship - required for Defence security clearance eligibility
* A current Security Licence valid in QLD
* Baseline Defence Clearance or must be willing to obtain a Baseline Clearance
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact confidently with Defence personnel and site stakeholders
* The ability to remain calm under pressure and make sound decisions
* A strong sense of integrity, accountability and attention to detail
