About the role

* Lead the development and oversight of holistic recreation and engagement programs that meet the diverse needs, preferences and aspirations of residents, as identified through assessment and ongoing consultation.
* Coordinate all aspects of special events, including entertainment, catering, decorations and related logistics.
* Complete comprehensive assessments, including life history, to inform and update each resident's integrated care plan.
* Develop and maintain community partnerships that support meaningful engagement and enrich residents' lives.
* Ensure programs reflect each resident's needs and preferences, promoting choice, independence and meaningful engagement.
* Develop strong, collaborative relationships with team members to support high quality, person‐centred care.
About You
We are excited to hear from you about this role! We are looking for:
* Minimum of a Certificate IV in Leisure and Health or a Certificate III/IV in Individual Support with demonstrated experience in the leisure and health field.
* Demonstrated experience in planning and facilitating meaningful leisure, recreation and lifestyle programmes for individuals and groups.
* Knowledge of best‐practice approaches within recreational/diversional therapy and aged care.
* Ability to undertake leisure‐based assessments and care planning.
* Practical understanding of Aged Care Quality Standards and accreditation requirements.
* Strong organisational and time‐management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
* Strong digital skills with the ability to use technology to document programmes accurately and support programme development.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with residents, families and the care team.
* Understanding of ageing and dementia care, with a genuine commitment to resident wellbeing.
* Mandatory clearances before starting – Police Check or NDIS Worker Screening Check.
