About the role
Are you ready to take the lead in ensuring our facilities are safe, functional, and compliant? Join us as a Senior Facilities Management Officer and play a vital role in delivering exceptional facilities management services across a dynamic, multi-site environment.
In this role, you’ll be the driving force behind the smooth operation of Council properties, coordinating building repairs, maintaining high cleaning standards, and providing essential administrative support. Your ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders and contractors will be key to your success, as will your knack for problem-solving and keeping things running seamlessly.

About you
You’re a proactive, solutions-focused professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment. With experience in facilities management or a related field, you bring strong organizational and time management skills, excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities, and a keen eye for detail. You’re confident working independently while collaborating effectively with others, and you have the ability to manage competing priorities with ease. Your knowledge of compliance requirements and safety standards ensures that every property remains safe, fit for purpose, and fully compliant.
What your experience might look like
- A relevant tertiary qualification in facilities management and/or relevant experience in a related field such as building construction and/or project management.
- Demonstrated experience in solving complex problems within short time frames.
- High-level written and verbal communication skills, including proven ability to influence positive outcomes.
- Effective time management skills with the demonstrated ability to prioritise work and meet tight deadlines.
- Responsiveness with the ability to work autonomously, using a commonsense approach to problem solving.
