Assistant Store Manager (2IC) – Toowoomba
As a Assistant Store Manager (2IC), you will play a key role in fostering a culture of accountability, integrity, and excellence. Working alongside the Store Manager, you will drive operational efficiency, lead by example, and empower the team to deliver exceptional coffee and unforgettable customer experiences.

Key responsibilities
* Customer experience – provide and ensure customers receive exceptional service.
* Coffee production – prepare a variety of coffee and beverages according to Merlo standards.
* Team management & succession planning – communicate effectively with all staff to align with store and company goals, coach and mentor staff to consistently exceed expectations.
* Financial management – ensure the store reaches short‑and long‑term goals and stays within budgets.
* Store management – maintain high cleanliness standards and compliance with food and workplace safety procedures, including stock and quality control.
About you
* Full‑time availability: 5 days on (Sunday to Thursday) with 2 days off.
* Proven aptitude and experience in staff management.
* Strong passion for coffee and commitment to the success of Merlo.
* High‑volume coffee‑making experience.
* Demonstrated ability to train, coach and develop staff.
* Keen interest in long‑term career progression within the business.
* Minimum 6‑12 months of staff‑management experience required.
* Drive‑Thru experience an advantage.
* A fun, hardworking and energetic attitude toward work.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong organisational and leadership skills.
