About the role

As a Plant Technician (Electrical Profile) you'll be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing electrical maintenance and operational activities that keep the station running smoothly, reliably, and efficiently. You'll play a key role in ensuring our plant performs at its best economically and sustainably.

Whether you're from manufacturing, heavy industry, mining, or any other electrical background, if you've got solid hands‐on experience and are eager to learn, we'll support you every step of the way.

Responsibilities

* Perform maintenance and operational tasks on electrical plant and equipment, ensuring safety, reliability, and compliance with relevant procedures, standards, and legislation.
* Execute routine and non‐routine electrical maintenance in accordance with Origin's procedures and operational requirements to support safe and efficient plant performance.
* Participate in the Permit to Work (PTW) system as a competent Permit Acceptor, ensuring safe execution of daily work activities.
* Actively contribute to HSE performance by complying with Origin's Health, Safety and Environment systems, policies, and mandatory training requirements.
* Support continuous improvement and change initiatives, including root cause analysis of incidents and participation in plant outages and project works.
* Foster effective communication and teamwork, applying Origin values to build positive relationships with stakeholders and maintain a collaborative work environment.

Qualifications

* Current electrical trade licence and a valid C Class Driver's licence.
* Proven experience in CMMS, Permit to Work systems, and supporting plant shutdowns and minor project work.
* Demonstrated ability to identify, investigate, and contribute to the resolution of plant faults, failures, and incidents.
* Sound understanding of HSE procedures and Management of Change processes.
* Proficient in reading and interpreting technical documents, drawings, and procedures, with strong computer skills including Microsoft Office.
* Strong problem‐solving skills and flexibility to adapt to changing operational requirements.
