Ball Australia is looking for an experienced and commercially minded Landscape Development Manager to lead and grow our landscape division. This is a senior role with real scope to shape product range, drive sales, strengthen customer partnerships, and build brand presence across the wholesale and trade nursery market.
Working closely with production, operations, and senior leadership, you will align supply capability with market demand while developing opportunities across wholesale nurseries, landscape yards, independent garden centres, and trade customers. This is a highly autonomous, field-facing role suited to someone with strong industry relationships and a sharp commercial focus.
If you have deep horticultural knowledge, proven sales and business development experience, and a passion for building strong customer partnerships, this could be an outstanding next step in your career.

* Lead the growth and commercial performance of Ball Australia's landscape division.
* Develop and manage a competitive landscape plant range aligned to market demand.
* Build strong relationships with wholesale nurseries, landscape yards, independent garden centres, and trade customers.
* Drive sales, identify new business opportunities, and negotiate supply arrangements with key customers.
* Work closely with production and operations teams to align supply, quality, and availability with customer needs.
* Oversee brand development, trade marketing activity, and participation in relevant industry events.
* Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to support business growth.
* Report on sales performance, forecasts, pipeline activity, and key commercial KPIs.
What you'll bring
* Strong experience in sales, business development, or category management within the nursery, horticulture, landscape, or allied industries.
* Deep knowledge of the wholesale nursery and landscape supply chain.
* A commercial mindset with the ability to identify opportunities and turn them into results.
* Confidence building long‐term relationships with customers, suppliers, and industry stakeholders.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
* The ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively across teams.
* A genuine passion for plants, horticulture, and the green industry.
This is an opportunity to take ownership of a key commercial role in a respected business supplying the Australian nursery and landscape market. You will have the autonomy to shape the division's direction, work with an established team, and play a leading role in building future growth.
If you're ready to bring your industry expertise, commercial drive, and relationship‐building skills to a role with real impact, we'd love to hear from you.
