Staff Specialist / Senior Staff Specialist - Gastroenterology Townsville University Hospital, QLD Townsville Hospital and Health Service is seeking a Gastroenterologist to join the Gastroenterology Unit at Townsville University Hospital in a permanent full-time role.
This is an opportunity to practise broad-scope Gastroenterology with a leading tertiary service while contributing to care across North Queensland. The role includes inpatient and outpatient services, endoscopy, emergency care, and outreach to regional and rural communities (in person and via telehealth).
You'll join a supportive multidisciplinary team within a strong teaching environment, including a well-supported, established and highly regarded Basic Physician Training (BPT) program, with opportunities to develop your consultant practice while supervising and mentoring junior doctors and medical students.
Subspecialty interests in gastrointestinal motility and manometry are highly desirable. Other interests, including interventional endoscopy, inflammatory bowel disease, or hepatology, can be supported in line with service needs and future capability growth.
