We are offering a full‐time IT Systems Support Administrator role within our WA team, providing hands‐on experience across systems and user support.
THE ROLE Core Responsibilities
Provide technical support to users (in person, phone, email, or remote tools)
Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues
Install, configure, and update desktop OS and applications
Set up and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices
Configure, manage and maintain Windows server and system applications
Perform system upgrades and migrations
System & Network Support
Monitor and maintain IT systems and networks
Support network connectivity issues (Wi‐Fi, VPNs, LAN)
Perform routine system checks and performance monitoring
Diagnose and resolve server, application, and infrastructure issues
Manage DNS, DHCP, and IP addressing
Troubleshoot network issues and outages
Security & Access Management
Implement and enforce security policies and procedures
Monitor systems for security breaches or vulnerabilities
Manage firewalls, antivirus, and intrusion detection systems
Install and maintain antivirus and security patches
Perform patch management and system hardening
Handle user authentication and access control (Active Directory, email, apps)
User & Access Management
Create, modify, and remove user accounts
Manage permissions and roles (Active Directory, cloud platforms)
Support password resets and access issues
Hardware & Asset Management
Maintain inventory of IT equipment and software licenses
Coordinate repairs, replacements, and upgrades
Set up new employees with IT equipment and access
Maintenance & Upgrades
Perform regular system updates and patching
Troubleshoot and resolve system errors and outages
Recommend improvements to IT infrastructure and processes
Backup & Recovery
Perform regular backup
Implement and test disaster recovery plans
Restore data in case of system failure or data loss
User Support & Training
Respond to help desk tickets and service requests
Create and maintain IT guides and documentation
Keep records of issues, fixes, and system configurations
Project Support
Participate in IT infrastructure projects and deployments
Assist with system integrations and migrations
Recommend technology improvements and upgrades
Automate routine tasks using PowerShell, Python, SQL etc.
THE REQUIREMENTS
Strong knowledge of operating systems and Windows/Cisco networking
Problem‐solving, troubleshooting and analytical thinking
Good communication and customer service
Time management and multitasking
Teamwork
Certificate IV or Diploma in Information Technology (preferred but not mandatory)
Candidates should hold valid Australian working rights without any restrictions.
