Offer description

Why This Role Is Great for Early‐Career Professionals

* Work with purpose — contribute directly to Defence capability and national security.
* Accelerate your growth — access structured project management training, mentoring and support for AIPM qualifications.
* Enjoy real flexibility — including options such as a 9‐day fortnight.
* Learn from leaders — join a team of specialists passionate about helping you develop into a future project leader.

About The Role

In this hands‐on, development‐focused role, you will support the planning, coordination, and delivery of upgrades to DDG Combat Systems. You'll collaborate with a wide network of engineers, program leads, suppliers, Defence stakeholders and internal teams.

You'll be the connective thread that helps ensure the right people, systems, and processes come together to deliver outstanding results.

What You'll Do

* Assist in planning and coordinating Combat System support requirements and resources
* Track progress and prepare status reports for both the DDG Systems Program Office (DDGSPO) and Raytheon Australia
* Help manage project risk, budget, schedule and reporting (EACs/PMRs)
* Work with internal teams and external vendors to define and deliver support requirements
* Coordinate Survey & Quote (S&Q) tasking based on customer needs
* Build strong relationships with Defence customers and technical teams

What You Bring

We're looking for someone who is organised, curious, and ready to learn — someone who enjoys problem‐solving and collaborating with experts from different fields.

* Excellent communication skills and confidence working with varied stakeholders
* Strong organisational skills and a detail‐oriented approach
* A process‐driven mindset with a willingness to learn project management frameworks
* A collaborative, diplomatic approach to solving problems
* Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Communications, Business, Project Management or equivalent experience
* Around 5 years' relevant experience (or a strong capability profile suitable for fast development)
* Exposure to complex systems or maintenance programs
* Knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM) — or eagerness to learn it
* A current NV1 or higher security clearance

Be Part of Something Bigger

This is your opportunity to join a team that solves real‐world challenges using cutting‐edge technology. If you're ready to grow your career while contributing to work that genuinely matters, we'd love to hear from you.

RTX adheres to the principles of equal employment. All qualified applications will be given careful consideration without regard to ethnicity, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation or identity, national origin, age, disability, protected veteran status or any other characteristic protected by law.
