We are looking for a passionate, trend-setting Mixologist Supervisor to lead our bar team and elevate our cocktail program to the next level.
The Role
As our Mixologist Supervisor, you will be the driving force behind the bar. You'll split your time between crafting show‐stopping cocktails, mentoring our talented bartenders, and ensuring the smooth operational running of the bar during high-volume shifts. This is a role for a leader who still loves the theatre of service but is ready to take on administrative and developmental responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead by Example: Run floor and bar shifts with high energy, ensuring impeccable service standards and a vibrant atmosphere.
* Menu Innovation: Collaborate with management to design, test, and implement seasonal, cutting‐edge cocktail menus that align with the Koi Toy brand.
* Team Mentorship: Train, coach, and upscale junior bartenders in advanced mixology techniques, speed, efficiency, and product knowledge.
* Quality Control: Maintain strict consistency in drink presentation, taste, and prep standards across the entire team.
* Operations & Stock: Assist with inventory management, stock takes, ordering, waste reduction, and maintaining COGS targets.
* Compliance: Ensure the bar area meets all health, safety, and hygiene standards, and strictly enforce responsible service of alcohol.
What We Are Looking For
* The Experience: At least 2–3 years of experience in a high-volume, premium cocktail bar, with at least 1 year in a leadership or senior role.
* The Craft: Deep knowledge of spirits, flavor profiles, classic cocktails, and modern mixology techniques (infusions, syrups, garnishes).
* The Vibe: A charismatic, hospitality-first mindset. You know how to read a room, connect with guests, and keep the team motivated under pressure.
* The Skills: Strong communication, organizational skills, and a sharp eye for detail. Availability to work late nights, weekends, and public holidays is a must.
* The Legalities: Valid local certifications such as RSA or Manager's Certificate.
