Head of Finance
Up to $250K base + Super + Bonus on experience
My client is a respected and leading service provider to multiple international insurance and reinsurance companies with longstanding relationships lasting 10 years+. Due to the continued growth of the business we are pleased to be able to bring to the market a newly created role of Head of Finance. The role will see you responsible for:
Responsibilities
* Leading a team of 15 finance professionals across two teams
* Delivery of Insurance clients financial deliverables including financial reporting and regulatory obligations (including ASIC and APRA reporting)
* Ensuring financial SLAs are completed with accuracy and timeliness
* Overseas workflow management and service delivery standards
* Development of the team including 1-2 managers who directly report to the role
* Presenting financial results to clients both face to face and online
* Onboarding new clients
* Developing and enhancing current process and procedures within finance function.

Qualifications
* Significant experience in leading teams within financial accounting and ideally within the general insurance industry
* Strong people management including rolling out and implementing people development programs to ensure teams are fully supported
* CPA qualification
* Ideally experience in working with ASIC and APRA reporting
* Proven experience in driving teams to ensure financial reporting is delivered on time and accurately
* Experience in process mapping, managing QA frameworks and identifying risk.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to deliver financial results and reporting in a face to face meeting presentation format.
