$101,597 - $116,074 per annum (depending on experience) + salary packaging | Health Information Manager Mental Health
Permanent Full Time - 80 hours per fortnight (with monthly ADO)
About the Role
This is a full time, ongoing position based in Ballarat, supporting the operations of the Grampians Mental Health & Wellbeing Service.
The role is responsible for health information practices, capacity building, and contributing to service planning.
You will lead and develop a small team, ensuring the validation and reporting of key performance and activity funding data.
In addition, you will play a pivotal role in driving compliance with standards and legislation across the service.
Key Responsibilities
Lead data collection, reporting and related quality and service improvement activities, and provide guidance related to performance and activity funding requirements.
Provide leadership, direction and mentoring to direct reports to support a cohesive team.
Demonstrate expert knowledge of and adherence to standards and legislation relevant to the role (such as Mental Health & Wellbeing Act ****, Health Records Act ****, Privacy & Data Protection Act ****, etc.) and actively promote compliance.
Promote key principles and functions of Health Information Management: privacy & confidentiality, effective record management, accurate and timely data, analysis and reporting.
Provide education, support and expert knowledge regarding mental-health state-wide data collection and management.
Develop strong partnerships with internal and external partners.
Skills & Experience
Bachelor of Health Information Management.
7 years+ experience in a health information management role, preferably at least 5 years in mental health.
Expert knowledge of CMI/ODS, IBA PAS, BOSSnet/Opal and the Mental Health & Wellbeing Act.
Experience liaising and working with government and non-government agencies and their representatives.
