Our client is a fast-growing food ingredient and innovation business seeking a commercially minded Financial Accountant to join their finance team and support the next phase of growth.
This is a hands-on opportunity suited to someone who enjoys working in a dynamic FMCG/manufacturing environment and partnering closely with leadership teams to drive financial performance and operational decision-making.
You will play a key role across month-end reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and commercial analysis, while helping strengthen financial processes, controls, and reporting capabilities across the business.
Key Responsibilities Financial Reporting & Analysis
* Manage and oversee the end-to-end month-end close process
* Prepare management accounts including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow reporting
* Build and maintain annual budgets and rolling forecasts
* Deliver meaningful commercial insights and financial analysis to support business decisions
* Conduct detailed analysis of P&L and balance sheet accounts to identify risks, trends, and improvement opportunities
* Support preparation of board packs and leadership reporting
Commercial & Operational Finance
* Deliver margin analysis across products, customers, and sales channels
* Monitor AR ageing, cash allocation, bad debt provisioning, and trade spend impacts
* Partner with Sales Finance and key stakeholders to resolve commercial accounting matters including returns, reversals, and bad debt
* Manage working capital, cash flow, accounts payable, and accounts receivable processes
Compliance & Controls
* Manage BAS/GST, excise obligations, and tax compliance requirements
* Coordinate statutory reporting requirements with external accountants and auditors
* Support external audit processes and ensure timely completion of audit requests
* Partner with stakeholders to strengthen internal controls and remediate audit findings
Systems & Process Improvement
* Maintain integrity of accounting systems and support system integrations across the business
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives across finance processes and reporting
* Utilise Oracle NetSuite to support financial operations and reporting
About YouTo be successful in this role, you will have:
* CA qualified
* 5–7 years' accounting experience
* Minimum 3 years' experience within FMCG, food manufacturing, or a related manufacturing environment
* Strong commercial mindset with the ability to translate financial data into actionable business insights
* Advanced experience with Oracle NetSuite (essential)
* Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
* Australian Citizenship (required)

* Food ingredients or manufacturing sector exposure
* Experience within a high-growth business environment
* Exposure to commercial finance partnering and operational analysis
