About the role
This role is responsible for driving the acquisition and growth of corporate, philanthropic, and other funding partners. The role drives strategic value, secures financial and non‑financial support through expert relationship management, cross‑organisational collaboration, and delivery of high‑quality proposals and pitches.
Day to day, you will:
* Lead the identification, research, and acquisition of new partners and donors
* Represent Australian Red Cross at portfolio‑related meetings, events, and industry forums, including governance or network groups
* Develop high‑quality pitches, proposals, tenders, and grant applications
* Build and maintain a robust, forward‑looking pipeline that supports short‑ and long‑term revenue, strategic and engagement goals.
What you will bring
* Substantial experience in partnerships or business development, preferably within a complex NGO, corporate, or philanthropic environment.
* Proven track record in pipeline generation, including prospecting and matching.
* Demonstrated success in securing financial and non‑financial commitments through strategic engagement, proposal development, and negotiation.
* Exceptional relationship management skills, with a proven ability to initiate, cultivate, and grow high‑value relationships.
* Highly developed influencing and negotiation skills, with the ability to align partner objectives with organisational priorities.
