Martinus is seeking an Environmental Advisor to support us on the Inland Rail Albury to Parkes Project. This position will be site-based and will suit someone local to Albury region or open to working on a FIFO arrangement.
Tasks and Responsibilities
* Coordinate and provide day-to-day environmental support to internal stakeholders.
* Plan and oversee environmental monitoring programs associated with cultural heritage, water, waste, noise, and air.
* Conduct required site inspections and audits.
* Provide interpretation of results and regular progress reports against environment and sustainability performance targets.
* Collaborate with construction teams on environmental management requirements to ensure that we meet our obligations and improve performance.
* Support the environmental systems needs of the business including implementation, regular reviews, and continuous improvement.
* Assist in the management of environmental issues, including incident investigations.
* Maintain ISO14001 Accreditation requirements.
* Implement the Project's sustainability strategies including the Sustainability Management Plan.
* Submit permits and approvals as required.
* Collection of data and analysis of subcontractor and supplier sustainability performance.
* Promote compliance in project environment and sustainability matters, delivery of training, toolboxes and awareness programs.
* Develop strong relationships with clients, councils, regulators, and other community stakeholders.
Qualifications and Experience
* Relevant Bachelor's Degree
* 2 years of relevant experience
* Exceptional attention to detail
