This is your chance to take the helm of marketing for a purpose‑led technology brand redefining the art world. The company operates Australia’s largest online art marketplace — a agile digital platform connecting art lovers, collectors, and interior designers directly with a thriving community of Australian artists.
By streamlining the art‑buying process and handling marketing, logistics, and customer service, the platform empowers artists to focus on what they do best: creating. At the same time, it gives buyers unparalleled access to original paintings, drawings, and limited‑edition prints, revolutionising how art is discovered, experienced, and owned.
You’ll play a pivotal role in driving the next stage of growth — transforming engagement across every channel, building brand loyalty, and inspiring a nationwide community of collectors and creators.
The Role
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute an integrated marketing strategy aligned with business growth and profit objectives.
- Brand Building: Elevate the brand’s identity as both a cultural leader and technology innovator within the art sector.
- Data‑Led Growth: Implement data‑driven frameworks to refine customer acquisition, retention, and engagement.
- Lifecycle Marketing: Build and optimise owned channels (email, SMS, social, SEO) to enhance repeat buying and loyalty.
- Performance Marketing: Oversee paid campaigns with a focus on ROI, integrating creative storytelling with commercial targets.
- Creative Campaigns: Drive guerrilla and viral marketing initiatives that capture attention and build community buzz.
- Team Development: Lead, mentor, and inspire a high‑performing team across performance, content, and design.
- Executive Collaboration: Partner closely with the CEO and senior leadership to embed marketing excellence across the organisation.
About You
- Proven Leadership: Demonstrated success leading marketing teams in digital marketplace, eCommerce, or creative‑tech environments.
- Channel Expertise: Deep understanding of owned channels — especially lifecycle marketing, email, SMS, and SEO.
- Performance Focus: Skilled in managing paid performance marketing and optimising cross‑channel spend.
- Creative Mindset: Ability to merge brand storytelling with analytical rigour for measurable impact.
- Strategic Thinking: Strong commercial acumen with experience translating marketing strategy into tangible outcomes.
- Cultural Connection: A passion for art, design, or creative industries, with an understanding of audience behaviour in this space.
- People Leadership: Experience mentoring, developing, and empowering multidisciplinary teams.
- Collaborative Style: Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence at senior levels.
