About this Position:
We are seeking a committed and experienced, Senior Regulatory Services Officer (Planning) to join our Development Standards team.
Reporting to the Manager Development Standards, this role is responsible for delivering specialised regulatory, compliance, and development assessment services, ensuring Council meets its statutory obligations under relevant planning, environmental, and regulatory legislation. The position undertakes complex compliance investigations, fast‐track development assessments, and regulatory enforcement activities, including representing Council in legal proceedings where required.
As a key member of a multi‐skilled team, the Senior Regulatory Services Officer (Planning) provides authoritative advice to customers, the development industry, and internal stakeholders. The role contributes to policy improvement, continuous enhancement of service delivery, legislative compliance, and positive community safety outcomes. Working collaboratively across the organisation, this position supports high‐quality development outcomes while demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic regulatory environment.

What you will need to be successful
* Qualifications in land use planning, building construction or a compliance related field, or equivalent demonstrated experience.
* Accredited E1 Certifier (Swimming Pool Barriers) or equivalent training or experience.
* WorkCover Construction Induction Certificate (white card) - or willing to obtain
