We are seeking a skilled and passionate Lighting Operator to join our dynamic team and help bring our productions to life.
About the Role:As a Lighting Operator at Century, you will be responsible for designing, setting up, and operating lighting systems for a wide range of live events. You will work closely with directors, production teams, and other technical staff to ensure that every performance is visually stunning and runs smoothly.
Required:
* Proven experience as a Lighting Operator, within the live entertainment industry.
* Strong knowledge of lighting consoles, fixtures, and other related equipment.
* Proficiency in programming and operating lighting control systems (e.g., MA Lighting, ETC).
* Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
* Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays, as required by event schedules.
* A passion for live entertainment and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
Key Responsibilities:
* Operate and manage lighting equipment during live performances, rehearsals, and events.
* Collaborate with directors and designers to execute lighting plans that enhance the artistic vision of each production.
* Program lighting consoles to achieve desired effects, cues, and transitions.
* Conduct regular maintenance and troubleshooting of lighting equipment.
* Ensure all lighting setups meet safety standards and comply with venue regulations.
* Work with other technical departments to coordinate timing and effects for seamless integration of lighting with other production elements.
* Adapt and make real-time adjustments during performances as needed.
* Stay up-to-date with the latest lighting technology and techniques.
