Job Overview
We are seeking a Casual Relief Cook/Community Manager to join our team at the Geelong (St Albans) Gardens site. The role reports to the Area Manager and plays a key part in the smooth running of daily community and kitchen operations, delivering exceptional experiences for our residents.
Job Responsibilities
* Oversee daily community operations, ensuring high standards across cleaning, gardens, facilities and resident services.
* Manage tenancy processes, resident files, documentation, audits and compliance with legislation and company policies.
* Support community engagement by promoting events, showing the community to prospective residents and helping deliver social activities.
* Prepare, cook and serve quality meals while maintaining strict food safety, hygiene and sanitation standards across the kitchen and dining areas.
* Maintain a protected environment by monitoring hazards, reporting incidents, managing contractors and adhering to WHS and Food Safety requirements.
Qualifications
* Strong communication, relationship‐building and problem‐solving skills with a genuine care for residents.
* Experience managing staff, working in a commercial kitchen and handling compliance, audits or facilities‐related tasks.
* Self‐motivated, organised, confident working independently while contributing positively to a team environment.
* Ability to stay calm under pressure, respond well to unexpected situations and provide constructive feedback when needed.
* Physical capability to meet the demands of the role, including lifting, standing, using kitchen/cleaning equipment and moving around the community frequently.
