What You'll Be Doing
The DMS leads and supports the medical workforce, strengthens clinician involvement in planning and decision‐making, and ensures medical advice is sought and addressed in matters affecting service delivery, clinical risk, and patient safety. The role also contributes to clinical governance, teaching, and quality improvement in line with relevant NSW awards and determinations.
Selection Criteria
* Current registration, or eligibility for registration, as a medical practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
* Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Medical Administrators (RACMA) or specialist recognition in a clinical specialty coupled with significant education and/or experience in medical leadership at an appropriate level.
* Demonstrated competence in providing leadership and management consistent with the role delineation of a regional hospital.
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
* Commitment to clinical governance, patient safety and ongoing professional development.

This is a Category 'A' position; please read and understand NSW Health policy directive PD2024_015. All new employees must agree to comply with the requirements outlined in this policy.
