In this key support role, you'll play a crucial part in the Financial Accounting team, providing support across various program and business areas within the department. The Role: This organisation is seeking a Finance Officer to join their finance team. Reporting into the Manager of Financial Accounting, you will play a key role in contributing to effective financial operations and maintenance of the integrity of the accounting system. The role is up until the 16th October 2026, with the possibility of extension. Responsibilities of the role include: Prepare detailed movement schedules and lead schedules, reconciliations and other note disclosures to support the hard close and Annual Financial Statements Prepare, review and approve key month end journals and reconciliations in a timely and accurate manner Review reconciliations on a monthly basis Prepare GPEVS for Bulk Accounting billing for large scale suppliers Support the Manager, Financial Accounting in the management of the day-to-day tasks of the Financial Accounting Team, including providing information and policy advice to Business Groups and Senior Management Develop and maintain appropriate policies, procedures, guidelines and systems to facilitate and promote sound financial reporting across the Department Manage and prepare the Quarterly Gifts and Benefits Register for publication Assist with banking and receipting process including refund for BPoint facilities. Provide guidance and support to other team members to achieve the goals and objectives of the Financial Accounting and Strategic Investments and Enterprise Finance team Participate (where required) in any projects or ad hoc tasks that the Financial Accounting team are involved in.
