Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Builder/Patio Installer role based in Toowoomba, QLD. The Builder/Patio Installer will assemble and install patio structures, roofing systems, and associated outdoor products according to plans, specifications, and safety standards. Daily tasks include measuring and marking out job sites, cutting and fixing materials, operating hand and power tools, and ensuring all work is structurally sound and weather-resistant. The role involves loading and unloading materials, maintaining a clean and safe work area, and liaising with supervisors, team members, and customers on site. The Builder/Patio Installer will also assist with site preparation, basic troubleshooting, and minor adjustments to designs as required to suit site conditions.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in construction, carpentry, or patio/roofing installation, with the ability to read and follow plans and measurements accurately.
* Competent in the safe use of hand and power tools, ladders, and access equipment, with a strong focus on workplace health and safety practices.
* Reliable physical fitness and stamina to perform manual labor, including lifting, working at heights, and outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
* Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to high‐quality workmanship and neat finishing.
* Effective communication and teamwork skills, with a professional and respectful approach to colleagues, supervisors, and customers.
* Current driver's licence and reliable transport; trade qualification or apprenticeship in a related field (e.g., carpentry, building) is highly regarded.
* White Card (Construction Induction) and any relevant safety or working‐at‐heights certifications are an advantage.
