Skills & Qualifications
A Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Mining or Electrical Engineering
Postgraduate qualifications in Business or Project Management (highly regarded)
Proven experience in contractor management
Proficiency in MS Office, Ventsim, Deswik, and SAP
Strong leadership skills, with a focus on team development and change management
What You'll Do
The design, execution, and delivery of mechanical engineering components across capital and sustaining projects at Granny Smith Gold Mine
Conduct project management functions related to assigned capital projects in process plant and surface infrastructure environments
Manage project lifecycle from concept, design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover
Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to required quality standards
Coordinate shutdown and brownfield project works with minimal disruption to operations
Review and approve mechanical designs, drawings, and specifications
What You’ll Bring
Lead and coordinate all aspects of project delivery, ensuring alignment with best practices and company guidelines.
Build strong, respectful relationships with contractors at Granny Smith gold mine.
Tertiary Qualifications in Engineering, or a related discipline.
Extensive displayed experience in mining, mechanical or civil operations in a similar role with good understanding of technologies and equipment.
Post graduate qualification in business or project management would be highly regarded.
Oversee safety and financial performance of contract work, including cost reporting, forecasting, and variation management.
