Profectus is seeking Expressions of Interest from Privileged Access Management (PAM) Engineers to support anticipated opportunities across multiple Australian Government departments and the broader national security community. These roles are expected to deliver PAM capability as a core Zero Trust enabler within Commonwealth classified environments. Opportunities are most likely to be Canberra-based, with potential travel to government and industry partner sites nationally.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, deploy and operate PAM solutions (e.g. CyberArk, BeyondTrust, Delinea)
* Establish privileged account discovery, vaulting, rotation and session management
* Integrate PAM with identity, SIEM and access governance tooling
* Develop privileged access policies, runbooks and break‐glass procedures
* Partner with cyber, identity and platform teams to embed least privilege
* Support audit, assurance and IRAP activities relating to privileged access
* Produce design and operational documentation aligned to Commonwealth standards
Required Experience
* Demonstrated PAM engineering experience at enterprise scale
* Hands‐on experience with leading PAM platforms
* Strong working knowledge of identity, directory services and access governance
* Experience operating in classified or controlled Commonwealth environments
* Familiarity with the ISM, PSPF and Essential Eight
* Experience supporting Zero Trust programs at scale
* Background in Just‐in‐Time access, session monitoring and behavioural analytics
* Familiarity with sovereign and multi‐domain environment considerations
* Exposure to OT and ICs privileged access patterns
Certifications (Highly Regarded)
* CyberArk Defender or Sentry
* BeyondTrust or Delinea vendor certifications
* Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate (SC-300)
* Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
Security Requirements
* Must be an Australian Citizen
* Must hold a current Negative Vetting Level 2 (NV2) clearance
Working Arrangements
* Predominantly Canberra‐based roles within secure Australian Government environments
* Onsite work is expected for most opportunities, including engagement on classified networks
