At Insignia Financial, our First Line Technology Risk team sits at the centre of how risk is managed across Technology. This is a hands‐on role, closely connected to the work our tech teams are doing every day, and you'll be joining a team that's genuinely collaborative, supportive and easy to work with.
You'll be working across incidents, issues, cloud controls assurance, delivered risk assessments for technology programs, and partnering with stakeholders to manage risk in a practical way.
The opportunity to join our team
In this role, you'll be working across real scenarios and building breadth quickly. You'll get exposure to incidents, issues, cloud environments, and technology initiatives, giving you a broad view of how technology risk operates in practice.
You'll build depth in first line technology risk, including cloud assurance and technology risk support for projects, while also playing a role in improving how risk is managed, challenging, shaping and strengthening controls rather than just maintaining them. We value curiosity, sound judgment, teamwork, and people who like making things better.
You'll work across Technology, Risk and Audit, building strong stakeholder capability and gaining visibility into how risk operates end‐to‐end all within a team that values collaboration, shared success and backing each other to get things done.
What You'll Be Doing
* Supporting end‐to‐end incident and issue management, from identification through to resolution
* Running impact assessments and ensuring key risks are escalated early
* Contributing to root cause analysis and driving meaningful fixes
* Supporting cloud control assurance reviews (AWS exposure a bonus)
* Working on project risk assessments, identifying and challenging technology risks
* Tracking remediation and audit actions and maintaining strong risk records
What You Will Bring
* Experience in technology risk or compliance (financial services is a plus)
* Exposure to first line risk (or closely aligned roles)
* Understanding of risk frameworks and the Australian regulatory landscape (APRA CPS 234/230 etc.)
* Exposure to cloud environments (AWS ideal, not essential)
* Strong stakeholder skills, able to engage, challenge and build trust
* A practical mindset, you can apply risk thinking, not just talk about it
