About Us

Ferngrove Pharmaceuticals Australia Pty Ltd, is an Australian-based TGA (Therapeutic Goods Administration) licensed contract manufacturing business, a company attachment to the FPA GROUP, specialising in supplying high-quality Australian made complementary medicines and health food products, gummy and dairy products, cosmetics, hand sanitiser, pet supplement products, to local and international markets.

About the Role

We are now seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Chemist to take on a key senior role. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing, testing, and improving our range of health and nutritional products.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead the development d validation of complex formulations.
2. Mentor junior chemists and technicians in laboratory protocols.
3. Design and conduct experiments to analyse the chemical composition, properties, and behaviour of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products across health, food, cosmetic, and pet supplement categories.
4. Research and develop new formulations, chemical processes, and product improvement strategies to support manufacturing at an industrial scale.
5. Apply analytical techniques to test and validate product quality, stability, and efficacy.
6. Maintain and ensure accurate laboratory documentation, reports, and compliance with protocols, regulatory standards, and quality control procedures.
7. Collaborate with R&D, production, and QA&QC teams to implement process optimisation and scale-up from laboratory to manufacturing.
8. Study, analyse, and model chemical processes relevant to manufacturing operations to enhance efficiency, consistency, and product performance.

Requirements

1. Minimum of ten years' experience in a Chemist role in medicine, pharmaceutical or food industry.
2. Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Science, or a related discipline.
3. A proactive, safety-focused mindset with strong passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
4. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
5. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
