Job Description:
We are currently seeking a hands-on and motivated leader to oversee the day-to-day operations of our depot and lead a team of dedicated drivers. This is an exciting opportunity to take the next step in your leadership career with a company committed to safety, service and community.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supervise and support a team of bus drivers to deliver reliable and customer-focused services.
* Drive and support day-to-day operations, including scheduling, absentee management, and resource planning.
* Ensure services are delivered safely and in line with fatigue management regulations and enterprise agreements.
* Handle roster variations, pay queries and other administrative tasks to ensure payroll accuracy.
* Maintain a strong safety culture, respond to incidents, and support investigations when required.
* Foster a high-performance team culture, with a strong focus on customer service and continuous improvement.
* Ensure depot presentation, fleet cleanliness, and maintenance standards are met.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, regulatory bodies and the public.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Proven experience leading teams in an operational environment.
* Strong decision-making skills and the ability to respond quickly to changing circumstances.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
* A valid HR licence or willingness to obtain one (bus driving required).
* Working with Children Check and current First Aid & CPR certificates (or willingness to obtain).
* Strong computer skills and familiarity with operational systems.
* A proactive, solutions-focused mindset and a commitment to safety and compliance.
