We are seeking a suitably qualified and passionate Early Childhood Teacher to join our team at East Sale Uniting Kindergarten in 2026.

This position offers 23.5 hours per week, including two teaching days (Tuesdays and Thursdays) and versatile planning time. The successful applicant will work closely with the Service Leader and a committed team to deliver a high-quality, inclusive kindergarten program that supports each child’s learning, development, and wellbeing.

As the Early Childhood Teacher, you will:

- Provide pedagogical leadership and collaborate with the team to ensure delivery of a responsive, safe, and engaging educational program.
- Support service operations to maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and drive continuous quality improvement.
- Foster a nurturing and inclusive environment where every child feels valued, supported, and encouraged to thrive.
- Bring strong knowledge of contemporary early childhood practice and a commitment to reflective teaching.

What’s on offer

This is a part-time position of 23.5 hours per week (Tuesdays and Thursdays, with flexible planning time). Additional casual work at other Uniting services may also be available outside of these hours.

In addition to base hourly rate and superannuation, you’ll also receive 17.5% leave loading and the ability to increase your take-home pay by accessing up to $15,900 in salary packaging benefits that can be used on rent, mortgage repayments, or living expenses such as groceries, bills, clothing, streaming services, and much more.

- A strong understanding of contemporary early childhood practice
- A commitment to inclusive education and reflective teaching
- The ability to build strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues
- Current ECT qualifications and VIT registration (or eligibility by 2026)
