Outpatients Administration Officer - Targeted
Join the team at the Outpatient Centre Tamworth Hospital! As a valued member of our administration team, you’ll play an important role in creating a smooth, positive experience for every patient referred to our range of specialities.
Overview
In this role you will manage front‑desk operations and behind‑the‑scenes support, ensuring front‑desk and office‑based duties are handled efficiently and patients receive a welcoming rapport at every point of contact.
Typical Work Schedule
- Shifts generally run from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with some 7:00 AM or 8:30 AM starts as part of a rotating roster.
- The full‑time role is Monday to Friday, offering a consistent weekday schedule.
- Part‑time coverage is ideally sought on Tuesdays and Thursdays, but preferred days can be discussed.
Responsibilities
- Welcoming patients at the front desk and managing the reception environment.
- Processing referrals, appointments and correspondence behind the scenes.
- Maintaining a full inbox and ensuring tasks are completed with positivity, care and attention to detail.
- Working collaboratively with a supportive team of 12 in a friendly, collaborative workplace.
Qualifications
You are someone who brings a friendly, can‑do attitude to work each day, genuinely enjoys helping others and communicates clearly. Experience in administration is a big plus, but more importantly you are eager to learn and make a meaningful contribution in a supportive hospital setting.
