Based in Baulkham Hills, we are looking for a responsible and experienced individual to join our team as aSenior Laboratory Technician working mainly in soils testing. Working as part of a team, this role reports directly to the appropriate Section Head and indirectly to the Laboratory Manager.
What you day will look like
* Conduct testing on quarry and recycled material accordance with laboratory work instructions, AS and RMS test methods, preparation instructions and manuals.
* Prescribed calibrations and checks of laboratory test equipment.
* Maintain, observe, and participate in the statutory Safety requirements of the Laboratory.
* Maintenance of the Laboratory NATA accreditation requirements.
* Other duties as directed by the Section Head and Laboratory Manager.
What we are looking for
* A commitment to safety and quality
* Previous laboratory soils aggregates materials testing experience - NATA accreditation desirable
* Relevant tertiary qualifications in science or another relevant discipline such as Civil, Chemical or Materials is desirable but not essential
* Well-developed skills and understanding of computer systems for monitoring and reporting of data such as QestLab (in soils)
* Knowledge of Australian and Industry testing standards
* Strong analytical skills and a customer focus
