About the role We’re seeking a passionate and experienced leader to guide our Early Learning senior management team in delivering exceptional care and education. In this pivotal role, you’ll provide both strategic direction and hands‑on leadership to ensure the highest standards of quality, compliance, and service excellence across our centres.
Reporting directly to the Executive Director, you’ll play a key role in shaping the culture, systems, and strategy that underpin our Early Learning programs. You’ll oversee compliance with state and federal regulations, lead strategic workforce planning, and embed a solid framework for continuous quality improvement across all services.
A natural leader and collaborator, you’ll empower and develop our educators and leaders to deliver best‑practice outcomes for children and families. Through your guidance, you’ll bring our MercyCare mission, vision and values to life — fostering a culture of excellence, integrity, and genuine care within every centre.
About you You’re an experienced and visionary leader with a genuine passion for Early Learning and a desire to make a positive, lasting impact. With a strong background in delivering person‑centred, high‑quality services, you bring the confidence to lead innovation, champion continuous improvement, and ensure excellence in compliance. You thrive on building high‑performing teams, shaping strategy, and influencing outcomes that make a lasting difference.
In addition, you will also possess:
Tertiary Qualifications in Childhood Education or Early Childhood
Relevant Senior Leadership experience within the Early Learning sector
Proven experience managing and developing senior leaders
Strong knowledge and understanding of regulatory requirements
Driver’s Licence
Working with Children Check (WWCC)
National Police Clearance (obtained within the last six months)
