About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated Mechanical tradesperson to join our dynamic maintenance team at Blackwater. The role involves both field and workshop work, repairing, modifying, and refurbishing surface mining equipment and infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform maintenance on light and medium vehicles, mining ancillary equipment and infrastructure
* Conduct repairs and servicing in line with manufacturer specifications
* Scope jobs, order parts, and work closely with Maintenance Planners
* Complete pre‐start checks on vehicles prior to operation
* Diagnose and resolve issues with electrical, engine, and hydraulic systems
* Act in accordance with BUMA's Values and Standards of Business Conduct
* Participate in training as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor
About You
* Relevant trade qualification (e.g. LV Mechanic or equivalent)
* Working at heights and confined space tickets (or willingness to obtain)
* Familiarity with OEM software and SAP (desirable)
* Strong planning and scheduling abilities
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
* Current Standard 11 certification or willingness to obtain
