SPA Australia is seeking an experiencedDISP Security& FacilitiesManager tosupport the organisation's governance, compliance,personnel security,andphysicalsecurityrequirementsin line with Defence IndustrySecurityProgram (DISP),DefenceSecurity Principles Framework(DSPF), andProtective Security Policy Framework(PSPF).
About The Job
Working with the Technology & Security team,you willact asthe DISP Security lead,ensuring the company's compliance withinour DISPsecurityobligations.
Reporting to the Group Manager – Technology & Security, you willbe responsible fordeliveringgovernance,compliance,personneland physical security briefings to employees and management. You willwork closely with the Technology& Securityteam to ensure DISPrequirementsareeffectivelyimplementedacrossSPA Australia'soperations..
You will also take an active role in facilitiesmanagement,working withvendorstosupportcompliantand efficientsiteoperations.The role includescontributing to stakeholder engagements,maintainingawareness of evolving DISP obligations,andsupporting thereview and updateofpolicies,procedures,and training.
Demonstratedknowledge of the Defence Security Principles Framework (DSPF) and the Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF)isessential.Knowledge of the Information Security Manual (ISM) is desirable andcanbe developed in the role.
Yourstrongcommunicationskills will support the delivery of key information in management meetings, as well asclearly conveying complex security requirementsto employees, including newly onboardedor security-cleared personnel.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
* Lead DISPsecuritycompliance across thethree keysecurity domains (Governance, Personnel, Physical)and provide supportto theChief Information Security OfficerfortheInformation Securitydomain
* Deliver DISP security briefings and awareness training across the organisation
* Develop, implement, andmaintainsecurity policies, plans,andprocedures
* Establish andmaintaina robust compliance framework aligned with PSPF, DSPF, and ISM
* Oversee and manage security incidents, including investigation, reporting, and remediation
* Manage personnel security processes, includingmonitoringclearancestatusand onboarding briefings
* Maintain security documentation, andsupportaudit readiness
* Act as the primary liaison withrelevantgovernmentsecuritystakeholders
* Support internal and external audits and assurance activities
* Promote a strong security culture across the organisation
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications:
* CertIVorBachelor'sdegree in abusiness orrelated technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
* 3+years'experience inimplementingDefence IndustrySecurity Program (DISP)frameworks
* Knowledge of and application ofAustraliansecurityaccreditation standards (PSPF, DSPF, ISM)
* Experience deliveringorganisation-wide security trainingand compliance across personneland physicaldomains;ICTsecurity experience isdesirable
* EITAR/EAR compliance experience desirable but not essential
**This position islocatedon-sitein in Canberra,Australia and requires the ability to obtain a Negative Vetting2(NV2)security clearance. SPA Australia is unable to sponsor an Australian Visa (Australian Citizenship Required).
Preferred qualifications:
* Completion ofDISP Security Officer(SO) training, or willingness to undertake
* Security Risk Management certification
* CurrentAGSVA NV2 security clearance
