The Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development is looking for a Senior Climate Risk Officer to support the embedding of climate risk into DPIRD operations.
The role includes leading and contributing to projects that integrate climate risk into business processes, developing tools and resources, reporting and engaging staff to build awareness and capability.
About The Role
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of relevant State government climate change legislation, strategy, and policy. They should have demonstrated experience in project and system change management, as well as proven experience in risk management, including climate risk assessment, operationalisation, and integration into broader frameworks.
The successful candidate will be able to support the implementation of operational risk processes and contribute to continuous improvement across the Risk Management Framework. They should also have extensive experience in stakeholder consultation, negotiation and collaboration.
Exceptional decision-making skills are required, with the ability to provide quality and accurate advice.
