Permanent full‐time, 38 hours per week. Pay: $77,218 plus superannuation and salary packaging options. Location: Orange, NSW 2800.
Responsibilities
* Provide high‐quality personal care including showering, toileting, dressing and mobility support, ensuring dignity and respect at all times.
* Support participants with complex high needs, including physical, behavioural and/or psychosocial support requirements.
* Follow individual support plans and NDIS goals, and communicate any changes in participant needs, wellbeing or behaviour.
* Support participants to build daily living skills and promote independence wherever possible.
* Assist with medication administration and documentation in line with policies and procedures.
* Maintain accurate and timely documentation including case notes, incident reports and progress updates.
* Support participants with community access, appointments and social engagement where applicable.
* Maintain a safe, clean and supportive living environment, including adherence to infection control and WHS requirements.
* Build positive, trusting relationships with participants to support choice, control and wellbeing.
* Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and participate in ongoing training and development.
Qualifications and Experience
* Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (Disability) or equivalent qualification.
* Experience supporting people with disability, particularly those with higher or complex support needs.
* Prior experience supporting people with lived experience of homelessness.
* Understanding of the NDIS, including person‐centred practice and participant choice and control.
* Demonstrated experience and confidence supporting participants with behaviours of concern.
* Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships.
* Strong prior experience working as part of a team in a residential or supported living environment.
* Current NDIS Worker Screening Check and relevant vaccinations.
* Willingness to complete required compliance checks including police and Working with Children checks.
