* Learn and Grow Opportunities Hanes Australasia is seeking a proactive accountant to lead the Revenue Accounting team. This pivotal role ensures the accuracy and completeness of all revenue-related activities within the P&L and balance sheet for the Hanes Australasia group.
Key Responsibilities
o Month-End Close & Financial Reporting
+ Oversee timely completion of month-end journals and balance sheet reconciliations.
+ Ensure accurate P&L and balance sheet analysis to support financial reporting.
o Revenue Accounting Oversight
+ Manage sub-ledger revenue accounting, including accounts receivable, credit management, and claims management.
+ Collaborate with in-business commercial teams to align financial strategies.
o Team Leadership & Development
+ Lead and develop the revenue accounting team, fostering skill enhancement.
+ Implement system and process improvements to drive efficiency and quality.
o Audit Liaison
+ Coordinate with external and internal auditors to facilitate audits.
+ Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
o Financial Analysis & Reporting
+ Conduct ad hoc financial analysis to support decision-making.
+ Present financial information clearly to business leaders for performance evaluation.
o Forecasting & Budgeting
+ Support the development and monitoring of revenue forecasts and budgets.
+ Provide insights to inform strategic financial planning.
What experience/skills do I have?
o Experience in an accounting role, within a large corporate environment or newly qualified from big 4
o A degree in accounting or finance
o CA or CPA qualified
o Advanced Stakeholder Management
o Experience in a role with at least one direct report
o Excel, advanced level
o Experience working with a large accounting system, preferably JD Edwards
o Ability to problem solve and analyse complex data
o Critical thinking and continuous improvement mindset
