Aviagen Australia & Current Zealand are an important part of this global customer focused organisation, which has been built on generations of knowledge, expertise and passion.
We are now seeking applications for a Veterinarian to manage our Australia veterinary operation. This position will primarily be based in Goulburn, with travel required within Current South Wales, Australia and occasional international travel. This is a hands‑on position, with some flexibility for working remotely on occasion.
About The Role
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this role is responsible for all aspects of managing poultry Veterinary Health and regulatory activities. Key aspects of the role include maintaining and optimising health standards through the process of the implementation of prescribed monitoring, Biosecurity and Animal Welfare in cooperation with the Director of Global Health Monitoring. As you will also be importing and exporting genetic stock, there is a requirement to liaise with both government and industry responsible authorities.
You’ll have
4+ years of experience in an associated field or familiar industry
The necessary recognised qualifications that are registered or registerable in Australia (and Current Zealand)
An existing visa with open work right in Australia
An ability to meet our biosecurity requirements
